This paper, written by analyst firm, Ovum, provides a technical overview of Mimecast’s Unified Email Management (UEM) Enterprise cloud-based email management services. Email continues to be the main communication channel for business and, despite other challengers, will remain so for the foreseeable future.
When considering their approach to email management, the report says, organizations need to take into account the management, service-delivery, and cost overheads of maintaining this important corporate service. Opportunities exist to make use of a professional service provider. However, operational decisions should be driven by the levels of service, range of facilities, and content security required, rather than by cost-saving benefits alone.
