The Role

The Marketing Lead for Africa will head the Marketing function for South Africa and Africa (and potentially Australia), synchronizing with Global Marketing plans as well as localizing and innovating campaigns.

Mandate:

  • Responsible for MC SA annual marketing strategy design, implementation, facilitation and budgeting
  • Establish MC SA as the undisputed market leader in UEM, #1 Companion to MS
  • Establish MC SA as the leading SaaS/Cloud brand
  • Establish MC SA as the SaaS/Cloud thought leader
  • The leading SaaS/Cloud vendor to partner with
  • The #1 SaaS/Cloud business opportunity for the IT Channel
  • The largest SaaS/Cloud provider in the region by revenue
  • Drive C2A, ARPU, # Customers, #User and revenue targets
  • Supporting the GTM strategy & objectives of each department and the business
  • Build community databases
  • Reporting on activities and results
  • Build mission-centric, fast-response team

  • Strong local marketing strategy development across all segments (SME, Mid, Enterprise & Government)
  • Strong digital and online experience
  • Strong brand development experience
  • Understanding of how to implement tactical and global campaigns on a parallel basis

  • Very strong lead generation/market development experience
  • Online community building (Web, Social Media)
  • Ability to create new media content (video)
  • Traditional community building (Reseller Channel)
  • Traditional PRSEO & PPCPR Agency & general agency managementPress/supplier management

  • Integrated strategy and execution across departments, specifically sales and channel

Reporting structures

  • Reports directly to VP & GM of Africa
  • Part of the SA manco
  • Manages local marketing team in Cape Town & Johannesburg
  • Works with Group Marketing Director to maximize the regional exploitation of global campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in marketing/business or any related field from an accredited institution
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, 8 years marketing at a small to mid-sized technology company and 2 years at Director level
