Ingestion & Support Engineer

Job Purpose

Work with customers to coordinate the receipt, processing, and verification of historical data for import into Mimecast’s archive.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact for historical data ingestion.
  • Explain detailed data requirements to customers and assist in pre-sales calls as necessary.
  • Coordinate and verify receipt of customer data to ensure it meets defined standards.
  • Manage simultaneous customer ingestions in dedicated environment to ensure processing capability is fully utilized.
  • Provide verification and reconciliation to customer at completion of project.
  • Routinely engage with customers to address general platform questions as they relate to historical data import.
  • Create internal FAQ’s and work to streamline processes as appropriate.
  • Provide exceptional support to Mimecast customers, partners, resellers, and internal staff.

Person Specification

  • Deep understanding of internet fundamentals and email delivery
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory or other email platforms
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL, and command line scripting
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and familiarity with VM’s
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that can be used to explain complex technical topics in a clear and straight forward manner
  • Detail oriented individual that enjoys working with customers
