Partner Development Manager

 Job Purpose 

 This role can be described as ‘Strategic Partner Mobilization Officer.’  Within the Mimecast partner community, there a select few Strategic partnerships.  These partnerships are filled with potential but are currently not being fully exploited.  This person will need to engage with the relevant persons within the partners to facilitate the generation of new business opportunities which can then be passed across to the relevant Mimecast new business sales person.  A successful candidate will be equally comfortable dealing with end users and channel partners.   The candidate will be a highly ambitious self starting individual who understands that success is their responsibility. They will need to be quick to learn, articulate, personable with a strong attention to detail.  This is a national role although the individuals will be expected to work from our southern based offices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

     
  • Achieve against a set of pre agreed KPI’s on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  •  
  • Develop a cohesive business plan for the partners and execute effectively against that plan
  •  
  • To with Mimecast’s Strategic partners to facilitate new opportunity generation which will ultimately be handed across to the Mimecast sales team to execute against
  •  
  • To work as part of a virtual team to facilitate sales and technical training, marketing and business planning and execution
  •  
  • Co-ordinate executive levels relationships
  •  
  • Build and maintain relationships with the partners
  •  
  • Business Administration –manage the reporting of the KPI’s* and general Net Suite (CRM) housekeeping
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills

KPI’s are still to be finalised but will include:

  • New opportunities / deal registration created
  • Partner new business sales growth
  • Incentive programs developed / managed
  • Partner sales day run

 Previous Experience / Requirements:

  • Degree level education (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum 5 years plus IT partner management / sales experience (ideally within Email/Messaging but not essential)
  • Ideally with experience of both Direct & In-Direct sales roles.
