Channel Marketing Manager

Core Responsibilities

In this exciting role the Channel Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating assets, implementing processes and developing communications to support the expansion of Mimecast’s global partner program and to further enable Mimecast’s partners. This person will work closely with the group marketing team and the regional channel sales and marketing teams to execute the following initiatives:

  • Partner marketing campaigns and promotions – creating marketing campaigns and assets that are utilised by partner sales and marketing teams, according to Mimecast’s campaign themes.
  • Supporting Mimecast Alliance partners – defining the marketing plan for Alliance partners and working with local teams to execute on the goals.
  • Alliance program management – working with the global Business Development and Alliance team to ensure continued compliance and membership.
  • Events – Organise global partner conferences, advisory councils and 3rd party alliance events such as the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.
  • Communications and newsletter – Working with a copywriter to create the Mimecast partner newsletter, business and service updates, channel blog and standardise other channel communications.
  • Content generation – working with product marketing and the local teams to produce sales tools, cheat sheets, case studies, datasheets, partner prospectus etc.
  • Programs management – owns the upkeep and development of the partner portal, eshot generation tool, external partner website pages and other systems with a team of Mimecast developers to support channel development strategies, such as deal registration, that is defined by the VP Strategic Alliances. Control a central depository of assets to enable sharing across the regions.
  • Progressing channel brand and identity – working with the Group Marketing Director to evolve the channel brand and ensure consistency across the Partner base and regions.
  • Partner Training and Accreditation Program – working with product marketing and education teams to deliver partner training modules and launch the training accreditation program.
  • Partner recruitment initiatives – identify and target development partners and enable partner recruitment processes through direct marketing, events, advertising, promotions etc.
  • Partner rewards and recognition – standardise Mimecast’s partner incentive program to reward sales efforts and encourage long term relationships with Mimecast.
  • Reporting – tracking, measuring and providing monthly reports of progress made, inbound response rates and ROI. 

Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience at a technology vendor or reseller/Systems Integrator in a marketing or partner enablement position.
  • Experience of working with global teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • The role is both broad and intensive, and being Partner facing requires meticulous attention to detail accompanied by excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to innovate, deliver quickly on a day-to-day basis while managing multiple activities and working to long-term plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), CRM and lead nurturing tools.
  • New media/ social media and integrated campaign skills/ experience are of additional interest.
